Stellarium

Just came across this brilliant piece of software (which, believe it or not IS actually free!) for those of you interested in astronomy: it shows the sky at night basically with all the starts, constellations and so on. To quote from the site: Stellarium is a free open source planetarium for your computer. It shows a realistic sky in 3D, just like what you see with the naked eye, binoculars or a telescope.

And it does actually do what it says on the tin. On top of that, you can get a version for Linux, Mac or Windows! So if you can’t wait for the night to fall to watch the starts, give it a go: http://www.stellarium.org/. Enjoy!
