Desi gluma e veche, uitasem complet de ea pana cand de curand am regasit-o in inbox-ul meu, trimisa de un amic. Am ras cu lacrimi toata ziua — si nu m-am putut abtine sa nu o pun pe blog. Nu stiu cat de mult poate fi asta tradus ca l-as traduce si in engleza, dar din pacate e nevoie de un intreg set de explicatii pentru a traduce asa ceva in engleza — ca atare atasez doar “originalul”:

Cred ca azi fost zi liber la ei. Nu venit niciuna din angajat. Plimbat prin birou meu lung si lat. Deschis fiset acte oficial dar plin de o bautur tulbur.

Spelling Lesson a la California :-)

Lick Observatory, Mount Hamilton, California — 12/May/2012

First exploratory event in California, this Saturday, the 12th of May 2012, with the iTag Group — the Lick Observatory on Mount Hamilton in California. The bloody mountain looks so far away to be honest at first glance, but we got there in under an hour — though be aware of the tight bendy road you which gets you there (well worth it though!).

The views from the top were absolutely stunning — and so was the views throughout the drive there:

And here’s the observatory itself — the dome with the original refractor telescope:

And the big bad boy telescope itself:

One of the other domes (the 120 inch telescope — only about 10 minutes walk from the main one):

And who said bikers don’t dig astronomy? Here’s what was parked next to the observatory (awesome or what?!!):

And for those who find science boring (ahem!) there’s some more excitement around — check out this place and tell me it doesn’t look like a haunted house! I’ve spent about half an hour staring at it and nearly convinced myself that there is movement behind those windows

Next step: check out one of the events at night time when you can actually look through the telescope!

Nice One, LinkedIn!

Just logging into LinkedIn today I saw they announced their Q1 2012 revenue — now the numbers themselves are impressive, but what caught my attention was the brilliant starting slide of their presentation: the very people who made LinkedIn get to this stage:

Covent Garden from My Window
